In 2017, Bea wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and adopted her stage name Bea in remembrance of him. Bea was fostered by her younger sister Sinead with Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, and former professional racer. Her family were in love with racing meetings and horses. Bea was a guide for The Irish National Stud in her young days. However, she knew that it wasn't what she wanted to be as a profession and preferred to perform.
